Officers from the Westport Police Department received a report at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday, March 4, a domestic disturbance at an area home.
According to police the investigation into the incident determined that Westport resident David Levieff allegedly held his victim against the wall and choked him following an argument over money.
Levieff was arrested at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct and strangulation at Westport Police Headquarters. Levieff was released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
